Jensen Dash Radio

The dash radio in 2860 Sunseeker has weak reception even on disdance setting. Is there an antenna booster or other device that will help?

I represent ASA Electronics, the producer of the JENSEN brand of televisions, stereos, and speakers, Voyager brand of observation monitors and cameras and the Advent brand of appliances. At ASA, we strive to provide excellent customer service and product satisfaction and would like to offer some assistance in this matter.

There are a few things you can do regarding radio reception. First, verify you are in an area with sufficient radio signal present (try a different radio, such as in your passenger car while in the same location as the RV). Next, inspect the rear of the radio and verify the antenna is fully inserted into the antenna port. If so, unplug and see if you notice a drop in reception or if it is the same. If it is the same, it would indicate the antenna is not providing sufficient signal to the radio. You can also try connecting a new antenna in place of the existing and see if that improves reception notably. If so, this also would indicate a problem with your existing antenna.

Your dealer can assist with troubleshooting as well as warranty assistance with the antenna or radio, if needed.

Please feel free to call our Tech Support dept. if you need any further assistance. You can reach them at 1-877-845-8750 M-F 8:00AM - 6:00PM EDT.

I place tin foil on my head, and the attach the antenna wire to my mouth.

JUST KIDDING!

But I do have a question, is radio reception good when you are in a local populace where you would expect good reception normally?

Also, you might find some tips on that link there.

I might also check the antenna connection at the back of the radio unit. Surely it's an easy pull
