I am hoping to find an answer after many hours of exhaustive searching. I am trying to program my DirectTv remote with the codes for the Jensen TV in my coach. I beleive the directtv is a 6 digit code that has to be entered. I tried the one that the receiver said to try and also off the website. None work, a total of 3 that I could find. Has anyone been able to make this work?
I beleive my receiver is a D-10 and not sure of the Jensen model but it is a 42" Plasma. The remote looks the same as the one in the bedroom which is a 24" or something. I have an 09 Damon Tuscany so they should be new TV's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The D 10 is an older reciever and may not have the codes for your TVs. Call Direct TV customer assistance.

I tried to program an RCA and another universal remote for my Jensen TV. I contacted the tech support at ASA Electronics - the distributor. The tech replied that the Jensen RV product line codes are not supported in other remotes including Universal ones. His only suggestion was to purchase a Universal remote with the "Learning" feature and program the new remote with the existing Jensen remote. You might want to contact ASA directly to see if that is the case with your remote.

Thanks, it would suck if that is the case and makes no sense, but it is what it is. I guess they (Jensen) are worried about corporate espinoage ;(

I represent ASA Electronics, the producer of the JENSEN brand of televisions, stereos, and speakers and the Voyager brand of observation monitors and cameras. At ASA, we strive to provide excellent customer service and product satisfaction and would like to offer some assistance in this matter.
"Universal" remote controls are pre-programmed from the remote manufacturer. These remote manufacturers need to gather the IR coding information from the electronics manufacturer and include that information in their database.
Most "universal" remote controls will not be compatible with our TVs. The reason is that the "universal" remote manufacturers typically do not include products made specifically for mobile applications as their primary use is for home products. As our TVs are one of the few brands of TVs designed specifically for mobile use (RVs, Vans, Boats, Buses, etc.), our IR coding is most often not included when they create their IR coding database for their "universal" remote.
One solution is to use a "learning" remote control. This will allow you to "teach" the remote any IR coding from any IR remote capable product, regardless of whether the product was included in the remote manufacturer's IR database. Another solution is to purchase the specific remote needed through the original equipment manufacturer.
For your reference, the "X-digit code" are just reference numbers to the actual IR coding stored in the universal remote's database. It is not the actual IR information needed.
We look forward to hearing back from you.

Thank you for the input, although it is unfortunate. After all many people will have the satellite system to go with the TV. I understand the situation and will probably buy a universal learning remote. Just seems like the codes would be more generic by now.
I do have a question, why would your TV's be so different for remote codes? I know that many codes are cross compatible wiht many other brands, and perhaps because many companies do private brand for others. Just wondering why yours would be so different?
Thanks again for responding and shedding some light. It does show that Jensen is listening and I thank you for that.
