Jolt Amplifier with Winegard Batwing

Has anyone tried the Mohu Jolt amplifier with the Winegard bat wing? It says to use with passive antennas, but I don't see any reason it should't work if connected at the TV antenna jack after the active part of the Winegard antenna.

As a general rule, amping an amp'd RF signal is not a good idea and will cause "ballooning" on some bright scenes in TV programs...not a big issue with DTV.

And, the MOHU website clearly says "not for use with...amplified antennas."

Now, if you are replacing the signal amp that came in the RV, it may be a great improvement.

One issue I still see is that power for the MOHU amp comes from a USB...so that is a USB jack on the back of the TV, the included AC to USB adapter (requires shore power, inverter power, or generator power), or you have to buy a 12Volt to USB adapter and wire the adapter to the 12Volt system.

Best luck

We bought 12Volt to USB adapter and wire the adapter to the 12Volt system and setup booster, so all right working now.
