Congratulations MonacoMama, on the new Motosat dish. Yes the larger the dish, the less the rain fade. I am sure you will enjoy this system for years to come!

Excellent choice, MonacoMama. I, too, decided to upgrade. Photos of the install are here: Motosat HD TV dish install

David Nannenga of Satellites In Motion did my install. He is in Willis, TX, just north of Houston off I-45. Was amazingly thorough and did the work in just over 4 hours.

David installed my MotoSAT MHDTV dish, and my MotoSAT F1 Datastorm.
I agree that he does excellent work and I would highly recommend him.

If that's David in the pictures, then he's lost a considerable amount of weight.

The guy in the photos is his assistant. David was inside doing all the wiring. He ran a new HDMI cable from the electronics cabinet in the front to my mid-coach TV. So my front HD DVR now can be seen via HDMI on both the front TV and the mid-ship TV. The TV in the bedroom has its own HD receiver.
Just a note: the new Motosat dish has the opportunity to interfere physically/mechanically with the standard TV antenna. If I am using both, I have to be careful that I don't whack or crunch one with the other.
I second your recommendation. David is fast and does a really high quality job. And he bought my King Dome, to boot, so I didn't have to mess with selling it on ebay.

It looks cool.
It's a MotoSAT thing.
Kind of like a trademark.

Unfortunately, there's no market for my MotoSAT MHDTV dish.

I thought it might be neat to splash the reflector with something near-UV so it would appear as a big fuzzy purple ball since the eye really cannot define detail at those frequencies..

Us MotoSAT owners won't like that.
But you're going purple anyway.
I don't know if it's trademarked or not, but it is definitely a MotoSAT thing.
The MotoSAT display at FMCA conventions, etc. have blue lights everywhere, and they were handing out little blue LED key chains.
