Kindle 3G

WOW ! Purchased Amazon's Kindle 3G prior to our vacationing to a remote lake in N. Georgia earlier this month and can't beelieve I waited this long. Not only is it great for reading books but can access the internet for free even outside range of WiFi hotspots. Instead of going to a store to buy the newspaper it downloads daily for under $6 a month. The 1st thing I did upon returning home was cancel our hardcopy subscription.

I agree. I love mine. My only problem is that it is a little too easy to spend money on books.

It is a great device and I use it at home as much as on the road

Yup, DW is now complaining about how much I'm spending at Amazon on the electronic books. But I'm thinking of buying her a Kindle for Christmas.

Tell her about all the many free books Amazon offers plus the shelf space it frees up. Also, the book cover with built in light was worth the money.
