Just picked up my rig, and now trying to figure everything out. I have King Dome 9702 and want to know now what. Do I need to upgrade, what service do I need etc.

All the posts seem very complicated. As far as service, I have comcast. I have been reading the Dish and Direct Tv ads, and it seems you can add your RV very inexpensively.

I think my TV's are original, so I know that is going to be a problem. Has anyone made a mod to the big box up front that I have hit my head on several times already.

You've got a lot of questions!

When you say your TVs are original...how old are they? Are they digital?

We have Comcast at our house, too. We are investing in the Dish pay as you go satellite access. See here for info... DISHForMyRV: DISH Mobile Satellite Systems & Pay-As-You-Go TV for RV, Tailgating, & the Great Outdoors That website will tell you whether your dome antenna will work. You will probably need to purchase a receiver; they are about $100 from Amazon.

My my is a 2001 Monaco Diplomat Le. I cannot find the model number (is 40 pbd). It is not specified on the stamp behind drivers seat.

Any clue.

We have the "Wineguard" traveler on the MH.
Have the "Caryout" as a back up when the trees.
We have dish. Fairly simple even for the Tech. Chalenged as we are!!!

Dan, we took an old DirectTV SD receiver that we had in the house before upgrading to HD and put it in the MH. DirectTV doesn't care where you are using the receivers, as long as you pay them each month for the extra ones! Below is what I did about the headaches I was getting!
