Hope this makes sense!!!! what satelite channels should be loaded into My King Dome Sat. I had 110/119 at one time but seems as though I have lost the switches and somebody told me that there is newer Sat. channels being used such as 124 and such---I use Dish as my Satelite company Box but haven't used my Sat in a while and am having problems!!!
Thanks for any help

Steve

Are you on the "Pay as you go" plan?

Those are Directv satellites ,If I don't use mine for a month I have to call and get them to reset my receiver every now and then.

110 and 119 are the Dish Network satellites (not channels) used for the majority of their stanard def. programming and 129 is used for their HD programming. Which King Dome do you have (model number). Is it in-motion or stationary only?

Though I think I know what you mean there is no single answer.

however the "Channels" are not loaded into the antenna, they are loaded into the receiver by your satellite service provider (Dish or Direc here in the US)

You will need: The owner's manual for your antenna, Download it, you can find it on the web site.

Then you need to know what service you have (Which I assume you do)

If you have direcTV then you program the dome for 101 West, just 101 West.
DirecHDTV Same thing but you won't get HD since the dome can't do that.

Dish Non-HD if the dome can do it 110-119 W If not then just 119 as that's where the distant network stations hang out.

DishHD if the dome can do it 110-119-127 I think (not sure of the last one) but the owner's manual will tell you.

It will also tell you how to do it.

110-119-129 (or 61.5 in hybrid mode).

If 110 and 119 were working before, it may be just a matter of running check switch. Use menu-6-1-1 on your remote, then go to the check switch button on the screen. It should pick up both satellites after check switches finishes.

SPA48...I see you have some good advice here. One thing I had happen with my Dish receiver was a inactive or unpowered receiver will "lose it's brain" after a while, an when you finally turn it on it will not show anything, until you "reactivate" the box with Dish via a phone call. That was all it took for me.

You have had all the answers to your questions posted above. Is there something you didn't understand or need additional on?

The "Technology: Internet, TV, Satellite, Cell Phones, etc." forum is the correct one for satellite dishes, etc. What forum did you originally have this posted in?
