Well, thanks for everyones advise and help.
KD is fixed. Installed new circuit board yesterday. Found correct signal on third try.
KD was very helpful. Pat at KD was very friendly and had correct advise and how to trouble shoot system.
Biggest problem was weather and climbing on top of RV between snow, cold & rain.

I just bought my 2007 Tiffin Bus which has a kind dome satellite system on it, I am hopeful that the direct tv tech that comes to set me up will know what to do, sure hope it works but it looks like I might be in for some fun.

Don't forget if you have a DTV box in your home you can put it in your RV. Satellite receiver will just have to find correct satellite.
DTV does have HD for rv's now also.

HD in a RV is NOT controlled only by DirecTV, as long as you have one of their HD receivers it is the dome that determines if you can get HD or not. I have heard KD is supposed to be coming out with a HD dome for DirecTV but I just looked at their website and I do not see one

I have the 9702 and DirecTV with the HD DVR receiver which I use most of the time at home, when I am in the RV I move the receiver to the coach (I have to change the set up to 18" round, Multiswitch and single LNB) but it works just fine. I can even play back the recorded programs in the coach. I also had a problem with intermittent power up, I checked the RJ12 cable, cleaned the connections, reseated both the remote and KD ends and all is fine for NOW

. The connection at the KD seemed loose, but we will see.

Dr Dave -- does your 9702 have the "Upgrade Kit # 9742"????? If so, where and when did you get it??? I've scrounging the Internet for a year now trying to find one (in stock).
