KingDome Noise
During the night my KingDome starts to make noise like it is switching between satellites. This goes on all night. Is there a problem or a solution other than turning off the dome?

I am not sure where you are, but is it possible that you are getting dew on your dome at night? Once the dome loses the signal it will continue to search and search in an attempt to re-locate the signal. Once things dry out it would lock right back on again.

I don't think moisture is a problem as it stops "flipping" as soon as the TV is turned on and the DISH receiver "wakes" up.

Once you are level & have satellite lock, you can turn the Kingdome off to avoid this type of nuisance.

The switch doesn't need to be on once the satellite's are found? That would make things simple. The switch couldn't be in a worse location. Winne put the switch in the top back of an overhead cabinet and I am trying to find a place to relocate it.

Hi Wayne,
My KVH does the same thing. EngineerMike suggested what I did. Once the dish locks onto the Sat. I turn my KVH off.

When I turn the switch off the dome will not switch between satellites 110 and 119. For example, If the dome is "locked" on 110, I can only watch channels on 110. When I turn the switch back on, I have to wait for the dome to find both satellites again.

That is correct, you cannot turn the dome off if you need to be able to switch satellites.
