Just started to get everything ready for the camping season and tried to power up my KVH TrackVision satellite system. When turning the power switch on which is above the driver seat in my '06 39S Discovery, the power light did not come on. After testing it there is power to the switch but the green power light does not come on.

I'm assuming the switch is bad. Does anyone know of a website to order KVH TracVision replacement parts? Otherwise I'll just call KVH Monday.

Thanks for any assistance.

Mike

Spoke to KVH today. They gave me a procedure to try to activate the until. Unfortunetly, no luck and the roof top satellite does not energize.

Has anyone ever had a similar problem like this? Any suggestions on how to trouble shoot?

End of the day I might have to bring the until back to the dealer.

Thanks for any assistance.

Mike

I don't know what their temp fix was, but if it didn't work, it is either NOT the switch or more complicated than that.

A switch is an ultra simple device and I look at mine and see just a few wires. Measure the voltages on each and trace as best you can. Then apply logic. Also, I just bet there are schematic diagrams available to assist in this.

Ok, checked one last thing, when up on the roof and found the problem. The data/power cable leading to the roof top dome was disconnected. Must have not been tightly secured when it was installed.

Saved myself a 4 hour round trip to the dealer that I was going to make!

Thanks for everyone's comments.
