LCD clocks/LCD HDTV’s


Recently I read (Trailer Life, irv2.com etc) something about the LCD screens of some of the newer HDTV’s being damaged when the TV is left in the RV during winter storage.

I have two LCD “Atomic” clocks in my RV. They have never been removed from the RV during winter storage. This AM it was minus 11 degrees and both clocks are working OK and keeping perfect time.

As I have exchanged my “old” TV for a new LCD HDTV I am wondering if anybody knows how/why/if the TV LCD screen is in fact more susceptible to cold weather damage as the LCD clock?
