my first time trying to add pictures, so if it aint right, i'll try to redo it.

i replaced my old CRT TV with a LCD when they changed to digital. just couldn't decide the best way to mount it in the cabinet. the wall mounts they sell with the TV are too expensive and i didn't have anything inside the cabinet except cheap paneling to screw it to. i came up with using some drawer slides and 3/4" birch plywood i had in the shop to make a tv pull out. ended up looking pretty good and worked great. the pictures explain most everything, but i'll see how much interest there is in it and do whatever explaining i need to later.

ok, here's the pictures. the first one is the finished product, the second and third are the back of the tv while pulled out, the fourth is a slide bolt i used to keep it closed. it's not fancy but works great and didn't cost me much. i'll be glad to give any more info, just ask.

Great idea and I know you enjoy your new TV. I notice your slide comes close by your entertainment center. Ours did also in our former trailer. Be sure nothing comes loose to interfere with the slide movement. Our dish receiver slid out against the closed slideout once. When I opened the slide, the receiver got jammed behind that wood side trim piece on the slide and forced the trim to come off. The dish receiver is one tough metal unit as it didn't even get dented.

yea, main thing to watch is the cabinet doors, make sure they haven't come open before you let the slide out. i put a ratchet tie down with a peice of foam under it around the TV just to make sure it dosen't move while traveling and to make double sure the TV can't fall off the pull-out when bouncing down the road.

Bob, what a nice job you did, you should be proud of it, looks like a Cabinet shop made it, outstanding, and I bet the TV is so much better. I'm amazed @ the picture quality of the new digital units. Keep up the good work, and be safe in your travels.
