For the people that have LED tv's, have you had any problems with the LED's from traveling over our great roads? Would like to upgrade my tv's and thought I might go with LEDs.

I installed a 32" Coby LED in our coach about 3000 miles ago. No problems so far.

It's important to understand that there really is no such thing as an LED TV. The TV's use LCD technology to create a picture but the pre-LED versions used florescent light to provide a back light and the new TV's use LED's to provide the back light. The LCD technology is not changed. On this and other forums that I monitor I have not seen an issues with TV's specific to the LED back light.
We just removed our LCD TV and replaced it with a 32" LED/LCD TV. The 1080P makes me finally understand the "big deal" about HD as the smaller 22" TV with 720 "HD" simply does not do HD justice.

I don't know the specific of which models of the 1.5 million Sony's that they announced were being recalled today due to fire potential.

We don't buy anything but Samsung TV's or computer monitors. About to finish up putting a 32" LED unit in our DSDP. Have only been a few 100 miles with it so far.

We put 2 Vizio LED/LCD TV's in our coach this spring. They're working great.

That's very interesting. Is there any reasoning behind this thought process or do you just own a bunch of Samsung stock?

Samsung products generally provide a superior image but Sony and other are catching up. I chose a 32" Samsung smart tv and it is great. I work in feature film and television post production and we test them all. Best picture hands down is a Panasonic plasma but not for a MH.

Yeah !
My 40" Sony Bravia TV model # is not on the list. Was worried after hearing this news, as I live in my RV, & do not want to have a fire.

I love my TV ! It sit on the pedestal between the driver & passenger seat. So relaxing to lay on the couch and watch. Like being in your very own movie theater.

Why....all this tv talk got me excited, and now I must say good nite to you all....and go watch something on it.

The advantage of the LED's is a thinner unit. I put a Toshiba LED in my mh because it was thinner than any other I could find and fit the space. My feeling is you put in the largest tv that will fit the space. If you worry about vibration then I would worry more about the effects of vibration on the older crt tv's than on the newer lcd displays..

A few months ago, we replaced the (dead) Jensen 20" DC model in our outdoor entertainment bay with a Visio 26" LED/LCD unit. We've now got about 4000 miles on it and it's going strong.

I was a Sony guy for a very long time but put a 58" Samsung Plasma in my last stick house and just put a 50" Samsung Plasma in my new stick house and have been pretty impressed.

Another vote for Samsung flat panels here.

Did lots of research (details of which I have since forgotten) to buy my first at home 55" screen.

Have since added another 52" at home. And a 32" and 22" in the motorhome. All Samsungs.

Very pleased with all of them.
