Lift tv remote
so i went outside to check on my outside entertainment center and change out the batteries except one of the batteries in this remote leaked so i brought it right in and opened it up. it never leaked on the circuitry inside. just on the plastic and on one of the wire spiraling things. i cleaned it up, put it back together and installed new batteries. it doesn’t work now. anyone know what i can do to troubleshoot it?

Double check that the battery(ies) are installed correctly (polarity wise). Is there any kind of light on the TV unit that would indicate if it is seeing the IR signal?
Maybe you can get one of those IR receivers (like used on computer) to verify if there is a signal coming out of your remote. Even if you went to a BestBuy or such, you might be able to point your remote at some computer/TV/audio receiver setup on display, just to see if the little red LED "receiving" light comes on.
If all else fails you may be able to use a programmable "Harmony Remote" to send the signal. The one I have downloads the equipment's (manufacturer's) code (if it has it in its database) so you don't need a working remote for the Harmony to "learn from".

If its an IR (infrared remote) you can get an app to use to see if its working.

Oh, Since its an LCI (Lippert) remote, call them and ask why they don't have replacements (maybe they do). Or try an RV salvage yard or RV Parts Northwest.

Like CountryB said ... make sure all the batteries are inserted the correct way. The negative end of each battery should be pushing against the spring. If that doesn't work, get some contact cleaner and a few Q-Tips and clean the springs and the contacts on the other end of the battery slots. I buy contact cleaner at Home Depot or Lowe's in the electrical department.

Well my thought is it’s probably paired to that device. Cause I couldn’t find it by itself. But yea I’ll call them first. Good idea
