Looking for tips and recommendations for A/V upgrade

Please forgive me if there are threads that I overlooked. My search created MANY returns.

I am upgrading my audio and video system in my Fuzion 302 ToyHauler fifth wheel.

I am pretty sure I have selected the DVD/CD replacement unit: JVC model KWV21BT. I have space for the 2 DIN size and it has all the inputs/outputs I need. It has an available remote control and bluetooth. It is priced at $280 at Best Buy and is in stock where I live. Seems like a good deal.
Does anyone have any problems with this unit? Or a comparable unit at the same price point?
Are there any gotchas I should be on the lookout for?

As for the TV, I am looking for some help.
I have space for a 39" (diag) TV, maybe a 40" (diag).
I read somewhere (here?) that if you can find a TV with a "brick" in the power cord, then you can run the TV on 12 v.
- Is there a place to buy an appropriate cord that plugs into the TV and into a 12 vo socket? Or instructions on how to build one myself?
- I am happy with 720P instead of 1080P to keep the cost down.
- Does anyone know of a 39" or 40" TV with a "brick" so I can follow this approach? I have not found one.
- I have found at least one 32" TV with a brick. A Samsung available at Best Buy Model UN32j4000 (I think) Does anyone have an alternative suggestion?

Any other gotchas or advice???

Thanks!

The power brick must be one that is providing 12vdc to the TV for the TV to be able to connect to the RV 12vdc system directly. I think the Best Buy house brand is one. Search on 12 volt TV here on the forum and you will find this and what others are using. My TV, sat receiver, and DVD player are not 12vdc, so I operate them via a Tripplite 150 inverter.

Vince,
Thanks for the info!
I did find a 32" TV at Best Buy, their Insignia brand, that has a 12v input. So, I am good to go there.
I was totally unaware of a portable inverter like the Tripp Lite 150 you mentioned. That may have to go on my list of things I need!
Thanks again!!

I doubt very much that the KWV21BT has HDMI out, which you would want feeding your TV. You might want to consider buying a separate BluRay player.

Tom, you are correct, the unit does not have HDMI out.
Not ideal, but acceptable for us.
Thanks!
