Last fall I bought a wonderful Country Coach Affinity that we are still wringing the bugs out of. The to do list is almost done. Two of the last items are to get the Motosat Internet to work. My RV repair place says everything works and now I just need to sign up with Motosat for service. I have an F1, DW7000, plus wifi router. But what has come up today is that the old dome sat dish for the TV seems to be on its last legs. The RV place is saying I have to replace it. Since I cannot get HD with the dome I am thinking to get an undomed sat receiver. Either Winnguard or Motosat.

Any recommendations? I would like to get both the TV and internet working.

Bob, you don't mention what satellite company you have but, to my knowledge, Dish TV is the only company that will provide HDTV to your dome, DirecTV will not.

As is mentioned, you can get HD from Dish Network BUT you may have to spend money to update you existing dome with new hardware/software and you would still have to wait while the antenna switches between the 3 satellites to watch all of the programming. If the coach is an 02 and the dome is as well it is possible that hardware updates are not available. Much will depend upon what kind of a dome it is.
If you choose to make the move to an open face antenna (and I highly recommend this for any multiple satellite application) then I would recommend the Winegard Trav'ler over the MotoSAT HD antenna. Not only is the antenna substantially less expensive, but the Winegard has been going strong since 2008 without the need for any kind of software updates while the MotoSAT has required more than a dozen. Due to the way the MotoSAT identifies satellites, these updates will be required on an ongoing basis.
Let me know if I can help.

Several weeks ago we had a Wineguard Travelor sat dish installed on our coach replacing the original KVH dome. We use Dish network and are very pleased with it.

Just as a point of clarification, it's not the DirecTV WILL not, it is that DirecTV cannot provide HD to a dome. This is not DirecTV's fault but rather a change in services by DirecTV that the dome manufacturers have not been able to address at this time.
