Lost East coast Direct TV feed

Today I found that Direct TV dropped my East coast network feed. I have the RV waver and was paying for both the East and West feeds. Since we are on the road I did not get the card they sent to the house supposedly explaining what they were going to do. When I called them they gave me some lame excuse about the FCC making changes. Oddly enough they were able to restore my East coast feed as long as I agreed to pay another $5 a month. @$%#ing crooks. If I didn't have a two year contract I would tell them where to stuff their receiver.

FWIW, you now should also get PBS, CW east and CW west in addition to ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox. Not worth an additional $5 a month IMO, but at least you got both feeds back.

It's true, however, that the loss of both feeds is caused by a change in the law. Only those who had both feeds prior to a certain date (I forget what it is) have the option of keeping both feeds. Those signing up for DNS now will only get one feed. Those with HD have only been able to get one feed all along.

We've had east coast programing for many years. Three nights ago it was gone.
Will call tomorrow to find out why.

The feed was for our stick home and our motor home receivers.

We signed up with DirecTV at FMCA Convention in mid-August; as we're Fulltimers, RV waiver faxed to get E&W distant networks.
Then it started.
Got East (because our credit card billing address is OHio); but NOT West. The FCC had proposals- NOT legislature etc) and DirecTV said supposedly no matter what we were SOLD we could only get East.
Several calls later, including a discussion of cancelling- when we were told we'd have to fulfill the contract of programming- about $400. We did NOT cancel; however, THEY cancelled us! More calls and explanations etc; they cancelled their cancellation and we FINALLY got Tech to program West feeds. This was sometime in Sept. (We said we didn't care it not being HD etc.)

We did return (after scanned & copy kept) the PostCard- which had a very tiny encrypted code of our info.
NOTE: the PostCard does NOT show your name, address, account etc.
Either Tues or Wednesday, West is not on our guide.
We called DirecTV and we were informed we weren't eligible for both E&W.
TOO bad! Postcard didn't matter!

VERY aggravated!
NO ONE can give us the FCC Ruling and Dates. Searches have only indicated there have been Proposals made to restrict receiving both E&W- to customers not grandfathered.
