Map App?

My wife are going full time starting next spring. We have been watching TV shows about sites and restaurants we want to visit on our travels. We would like a good map app to track them so that when we go to an area, we can look up things we want to check out. Can anyone recommend a good iPad app so I can "pin" notes to and attach them to a geographic area?

If you like the show Diners, Drive-In's and Dive's then here's a web site that tracks them -http://www.flavortownusa.com/default.aspx

I would suggest you use a program on your Poor Computer (Be it PC or Apple) such as Microsoft Streets and Trips. You can put thousands of pins on the map if you wish.

I just create a custom map in Google Maps, and lay down the pins. I do overall trip planning, POI, Triple-D restaurants, and world capitals, among other things. Yeah, that's right-- world capitals. Like Castroville, CA: Artichoke Capital of the World. We try to visit those places, too, (if they have a nice big sign) and post pics back home!

Like JFXG I use Google maps and keep a list of places we plan to visit. You can also look at the area with the satellite view.

We find RV parks that way also....just look at the area you want to stay in and type RV Parks in the search bar and they all pop up.

We use the website and app 'EverPlaces' for pinning places we want to see, and invitation from friends to stop in and visit.
