Add us to the many option camp!

-Verizon Droid M, grandfathered into the unlimited data plan
-ATT iPhone 4S, also grandfathered into the unlimited data plan
-Millecom 20GB month-to-month, sim card moved over to UML290, Verizon cells

We also have the WiFi Ranger with roof mounted Billet Omni Antenna. We use this first for internet, if wifi is available. If not, we tumble to our phones/hotspots.

Of these, we use the Millecom first, external roof top antenna, feeding a Wilson Sleek 4G Verizon (bought this before the all in one was available). If we see we are getting up towards the 20GB level, we then swap over to the Droid M. Or if no Verizon coverage but ATT is available, the iPhone 4S.

We may change things some next year, probably abandoning the land like later this year.

Best to all,
Smitty

Smitty-
Not sure why you pay for unlimited phones plus Millenicom. We have 2 unlimited Verizon phones and use them both as hotspots. We use 30 - 40 GB/mo without Verizon throttling.

I found this (see below) and may check into it. You can buy your GB's each time as you need them. It only does 3G, but that should be faster than most campgrounds or my mobile PdaNet hotspot. I would use it along with the straight talk unlimited plan. This would be $30 or more cheaper than what I am paying now and have a dedicated hotspot.

Straight Talk WiFi Mobile HotSpot (3G): Prepaid Cell Phones : Walmart.com
