We are on our way to Mission, TX for the winter and would like to add internet access to our laptop. I have looked at the coverage maps but would like to hear from people who have used one of these two companies. (Verizon or Sprint)
What do you have and how well does it work? I am a mobile sevice tech and will be traveling each day so I need to have internet access for my laptop.
Thanks,
Matt

We use Sprint & have had no problems in the valley at all. We use it in a router so the wife & I can both use it at the same time and it is secured from outside unauthorized users. We live in Indiana and have had access everywhere we have used it all the way down to the valley. Sprint has good coverage in the valley, you can visit their website & they have a map showing coverage which we have found to be accurate.

I'm also a Sprint user with zero problems, If I get into south eastern Arizona (Tombstone) the switch can be turned on the Wilson amp (801245) and the Wilson trucker antenna pumps in the power needed.

South Texas is not a Verizon area. They do have agreements with the other carriers, like Sprint and AT&T, to utilize their towers, but their (Verizon's) service is not that great. I'm a Verizon user, and belive me unless you're near the bigger cities, Verizon doesn't work good at all. Sprint is the big player in South Texas, so like the others have mentioned I'd recommend Sprint for that area.

Make sure that you are on an actual Sprint network. They have a ridiculously low limit on off network data transfer (MegaBytes, not GigaBytes)
