It's working!

Checked the speed at 14.25 Mbps compared to about 10 Mbps on the Mobley!

Thanks to all of you for your help! You guys are fantastic!

If your devices will work with 5 ghz switch over for twice the speed. You can also do a combo 2.4ghz/5ghz if all of your devices will not work with 5 ghz. This is how mine is setup being my HP printer will not work with 5 ghz.

Maybe that's the problem with my Samsung M2070W printer. I have the speed on the 815S set to 5Ghz and I can't get the printer to connect!

On the 815S the only options are are 2.4 or 5, not a combination. (unless you can select both of them? )

You should have a screen to select both on the 815S, you should also have an options screen below that that lets you select extended range power. See these screen shots from my 815S which I get by clicking on the Wifi and options tab on the left, if you don't have these you may need to upgrade the firmware to the current firmware.

My screen is different! Guess the firmware is different!

How would I upgrade?

I just changed the speed back to 2.4 and the printer works fine!

I did another speed test and that knocked it back to about 10 Mbps!

I suppose I can live with that in order to have the printer on the network!

I think there is a check for new firmware option under one of the menus on the 815S, I am about 20 miles away from mine at the moment so can't check it.

I found that screen! It's available in the ATTWIFIMANAGER but not on the screen of the 815S device! I set our computers to the 5 Ghz and the printer to 2.4 Ghz. Thanks!

Can the 815S operate without the battery inserted (only plugged into its wall usb adapter)?

Then remove put in new device and enter the new passcode.

Did you land up entering a bogus PIN 3 times and then enter the PUK all while in the 815S?

I purchased a ZTE Velocity WiFi Hotspot and moved the sim card form my ZTE Mobley. The new ZTE Velocity is working just fine. I bought it online and think it was in the $80 range.

The 815S must have a battery in it to operate, however Netgear did change their charging algorithm so as to help prevent over charging and killing the battery for the 815S.

p.s. the 815S is picky about USB power supplies, some of them will not keep up with its discharge rate while streaming, etc. Finding one that works seems to be hit or miss, as I have a QC 3.0 rated USB charging adapters that fail to provide enough power for the 815S.

So, you have had it on and operating for a long time? How long so far?

How warm does it get?
