I ordered the special connector cord from Motosat but could not get it to work with my XP Hypertermial program, think it was a corrupted program.

After researching the Web, I found a communications program called Poderosa, installed it (I used the older version listed), followed the instructions in the Nomad2 instruction book for settings, and updated my controller using my VISTA computer.

It took 8 hours for the 3457 lines of code to transfer but it worked. Slight differences in programs so it took an hour or so to learn how to get the transfer started but got it done.

If any of you choose this route, here are a few hints. Upon program start a page will pop up asking you what you want to use (like Telenet or......), cancel out this page, click on Files and choose Serial connection. Now up pops a page for you to set the connectons so just use those fron the Nomad2 instruction book.

Now use the book and follow just like using the XP Hyper program but after fload, click on Edit, choosr paste from file, Locate program (33.6a) and program starts just like Hyper would.

With a properly working computer and the hyperterminal option the update takes about 5 minutes.
