I recently bought a 40' Featherlite car trailer with a Motosat dish. It appears to be an older round dish, it has a control box inside with a clear plastic case. It powers up fine, shows an on screen setup display with the first option being to seek the satellite. I can't figure out how to tell it to do that, so it automatically powers down in a minute or two. I think it may need a remote that I didn't get. I have called the guy I bought the trailer from, but he ripped me off pretty badly so he won't answer my calls.

Can anyone help me out with this? I have spent so much money getting the A/C's replaced and the refrigerator working that I really don't want to buy a new dish right now.

TIA

What model dish is it? And what make and model of satellite receiver do you have? And what satellite service (Direct TV, Dish, etc.)? Hard to answer without knowing those things.

In general, the remote control comes with the satellite receiver, not the dish, and you do set-up via the receiver.

A call to Motosat might get you some direct help on your specific set-up.
