Can anyone help me on a controller issue. I moved from Vermont to Maine today and now my satellite will not find signal. I do have some trees to the north, but the southern sky is wide open. Doesn't DTV point towards the south. I am thinking that it is a controller issue. So, I did a firmware upgrade (motosat is out of business, but I found it on a tech website) and then made sure all my settings were right and did a test dish and got no error codes. However, when I push find the dish goes up and searches for about 10 minutes then stows and turns off. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello - remove the SD card and try again. Worked for me.

I don't think firmware updates for Motosat really work because they have been out of business so long. What you're really getting is an old version that is probably the same as what's currently on your system. I know in my case (Shaw in Canada) there is nothing that can fix the search issues. What I have to do is turn the TV to the satellite strength page and shut down the Nomad when the signal is strong. Works well and it's better than spending $2000+ on a new system.
