I have a new dish antenna to mount on my 35' 2004 Georgie Boy with a rubber roof. I'm looking for advice as to the best location and method to install it. I'm not to concerned about running the cable but I am concerned about doing any damage to the roof structure . If I knew where the frame members were I would try to get at least part of the screws in it. Any advice is appreciated.

I just installed an SK3005 on a fiberglass roof in place of the old KVH dome and got alot of info from Wineguard and YouTube. If you have concern about your roof rubber coating there is an optional baseplate that goes down on your roof to strengthen and distribute the weight better, you might want to consider this. You can also pick up some sheet metal and make it yourself just make sure to paint both sides and seal it good. Just read the installation manual and make sure that you are clear of obstructions and you will be fine.

Thank you for your response. I did look at the video and it was pretty much what I expected, the install itself isn't to hard. My concern is locating a spot to mount the unit. I have been trying to find out if there is a reinforced area especially for a satellite antenna. I posed the question to the manufacturer but have not received a reply.
I will probably purchase a 1/8" aluminum plate to mount first so that I can spread the weight out and provide a landing area for the arm.
