Moving and updating TV

I have read a lot on replacing/ updating TV's but I haven't seen anything on moving them to another location. Is this doable? My tv is behind the main slide, so in order to watch you must have the slide out, it's a 2006 Sony tv, also you have to turn head sideways to watch as the sofa of corse is on the slide so your always looking to the right, not so easy to do nowadays I would like to move it ( new one flat screen )in front of the sofa on the wall above the door, only open wall space. Has anyone moved a TV across the room? Is it doable, without costing $$$? Would love to hear how easy it is if it can be done.

Some Outlaw owners have added a flat screen above the doorway. Means modifying the cabinet face to a downward angle for easier viewing. Wiring can run thru the cabinets along edge of ceiling forward and down the windshield molding.

I don't know if this will help you, but I moved the TV from above the dash to behind the couch.
