Hello everyone,

This is a very interesting forum. I'm having a coach built right now, so I'm having to make these decisions for the first time. Ideally, it sounds like I need a Verizon aircard or U720 with a Dlink dir450 router, indoor panel antenna and an external antenna with a Wilson booster.

We were thinking about getting two different services just in case we couldn't pull in a Verizon signal. ATT or Sprint I guess.

Any thoughts?

Todd

I think you'll be fine with Verizon. We use it in a DIR-450. I've attached the external antenna to the Aircard to the inside panel antenna that's hooked up to the Wilson. We get pretty great results in fringe areas. Save the extra $60 a month to put in your fuel tank.

We use AT+T and are also satisfied with results. You are right, we have been places with poor service while others with a different provider have good results, and vice versa. Learn all you can about what they have to offer, and good luck. We connect directly from computer with air card to an external Wilson antenna. This is a good starting point, you can add routers and amplifiers/repeaters as needed. Lots of knowledgeable folks here, come back often.

Thanks for the advice. Saving $60 a month is tempting but if I have Verizon AND AT&T I get to play with an iPhone!

I'm a complete gadget head!
