New Samsung 4K LED TV won't show cable input

I have installed new front TV, Samsung UD7000 4K smart TV. I screwed in the cable into the ANT connection. I cannot get cable on the front tv but have it on the others. When I go to the menu, there are three choices for a source, HDMI, AV, and Component...none allow anything from my cable input.

Been in and out of all the Menu choices, but nothing seems to allow me to see what comes off the cable.

Got to be a whole bunch of smarter people than me on this!

HELP?

If you are trying to get an over the air tv channel from your antenna I think you need to choose that from one of the menu choices. It is usually in the choice where you scan for channels whether you are hooked up to cable TV or antenna tv.

The other ones you mention are for a DVD player, satellite box, etc. Not cable TV or antenna tv.

your new tv may not have a tuner

Not all tv 's sold today have tuners. My son just recently bought one that he wanted to hook up an HD antenna but tv does not have a tuner. They are designed for case box or game inputs. Might want to check if yours is that way.

Have you went through the troubleshooting section of your manual or called the tech support for Samsung?

Thanks Kelly and Jerry...that is the obvious and would save a lot of time...was hoping it was right in front of me, but not so easy. Will have to call...hate waiting tho, but got to get it done.

On my Samsung this is how it works > While you are in the broadcasting section of the tv menu press the right arrow > scroll to antenna > right arrow again and this should bring up the air and cable choice your looking for. I hope this helps.

Also, on my system at least I need to turn off the TV antenna booster. In my RV the button is in the overhead cabinet in front of passenger chair.

Was going to suggest the same. We have several Samsung's and it's likely to scan for one (OTA) or the other (park cable) but not both.
Turn off the booster / join-tenna for cable, scan again in same source mode.
Be well.
