New t.v. antenna

I'm looking for a replacement for our tv antenna, the one that came on our 2004 5th wheel, fell apart one day when I was cranking it up. The handle and spring and something else that I couldn't find. Any suggestions on what one to buy? I'm in Quartzite now and want to get it today.
Thanks

If its a wineguard crank up, just get a new wineguard crank up. There is a real RV store on the west side of town, and a tent with a lot of used/surplus stuff right by the light at the center of town across the street from the junk tents.

Did you check Amazon for the parts you need. I bought new parts handle and other details and rebuilt the crank.

No I haven't checked for parts at all. It is a Wineguard, I can raise it up with a pare of vice grips on the shaft. But then I can't rotate it. The round piece that you pull down and rotate the antenna is what came out with a spring, the handle and then there's another part that did not fall out, it's between the roof and the ceiling, forever. I figured I would have to replace the entire antenna??

Go to Amazon or e-Bay and do a search for Winegard Antenna Repair Parts. There are all sorts of repair kits available. As for replacement, keep the "bat wing" antenna since it's one of the best made for reception.

Hi weredoingit,

This link might help you find replacement parts for your crank-up antenna: http://www.winegard.com/help/images/...ment-Parts.pdf

As other posters have noted, these parts are readily available from a number of sources.

While you’re into replacing parts, lithium grease every antenna moving part & gear, both inside & outside your RV. You’ll be glad you did.

Get the maint instructions from Winegard on line. Go up on your roof and lube per directions with silicone spray. You will likely get your rotation back. Go to the RV stores in Q and get your replacement parts.

The batwing is only the best if you have the Wingman add on with it.

I'm doubt you really need to buy anything. The handle probably came off because the allen head set screw was loose. Mine has come apart a couple of times. I just put it back together and tighten the set screw on the handle. Like others have said, climb up on top and lube the gears with some silicone spray. The only parts that came out were the handle, a nylon washer the spring and the rotator sleeve.

It's more then the handle, when I cranked the handle, the antenna rose up like it should. Then when I pulled the ring with the pointer, (that rotates the antenna) it all came apart, Handle, ring, spring, sleeve and something else that was lost between the roof & ceiling.
