Better than changing out the outlet for $20... only if I had an inverter

So how exactly is.the charger connecting to the input power? I don't see an input power connector. Is it using batteries? What's the point then?

Ok, did a little research and found this explanation: http://the-gadgeteer.com/2011/01/29/...dapter-review/
Pretty slick. $11.41 @ Amazon. The only downside is that you have to have a plug to go though the power connector.

It runs off the ac plug that you pass thru it. It allows you to piggy back of any 110 device you have plugged into the outlet. Basically you are running 3 devices off the one 2 plug outlet. Not batteries involved.

It seems to me that one of the houses I owned had an adapter that had 6 outlets. You took the faceplate off and plugged the adapter in an screwed it in to the outlet. I think I've seen them in home depot.
