No HD DIRECTV from My Winegard Travler...

So we're camping in our new RV for the first outing. Had a Winegard Travler installed and with my HR24 Directv box from home it worked fine when we picked it up from the dealer.
However we're now at the campsite and the sat locked on to the 3 birds right away...just SD though. No HD.
Any ideas what might be wrong?

I'm assuming that when you checked it out at the dealer you were getting both HD and SD channels?

Did you check something real simple such as Menu/Settings/Display--Show All Channels to make sure you don't accidentally have it set to "Hide HD Channels". I know that sounds trivial but start with the easy stuff first.

I'm assuming that this new Trav'ler is the SWM version and that you have a SWM setup at home? If your home setup is non-SWM you would have to change the HR24's settings to switch it. If the Trav'ler is SWM then you must make sure NOT to use the B-Band converters that you use at home.

This gives you a few things to check. Let me know if any of these solves the problem.

I would reboot the receiver. We have had that problem a couple of times, and have found that it is best to deploy the Trav'ler, and after it finds the satellites, then turn on the receiver.

I re-booted it by unplugging a few times to no avail...

Then I went into the menu and did a complete reboot and it's working now.

Thanks all for the advice.
