Just put a new trav'ler multi-satellite on rv, I get all the channels good, just not in HD. Called Direct and they could not help. It's locked on 101,110, and 119. I checked all the settings with Direct and they seem ok. I have HD tv's and receiver and subscribe with HD programming. Thanks, John

Hi

I just went through possibly the same problem.

Are you getting error messages on the TV when you check the signal strength charts under system setup. Messages like:

NO LNB
Failed LNB
Channels not purchased.
Channels not available
Muliti switch has failed.

Also make sure you have a b-band converter on the back of the receiver.

After a complete analysis by my tech it was the receiver that was the problem. If you have another HD reciever available swap it in to your cableing and see if you get a different result.

Others on this site may have additional info and solutions.

Bill

DirecTV HD is on 99 and 103. You are going to need to install the B-Band Converter(s) on each of the receivers inputs to receive the HD programming. If you check the menu and setup and signal strength screens you will likely find that you are getting all zeros except on one of 99 and 103 screens (I think 103 ab gets a signal). Once you install the BBC you will get signals on them all. When the Trav'ler is seeing 101, 110 and 119 (a star in front of each number) then it is also receiving 99 and 103 by default.

Thanks Bill. I've wondered why I only showed connections on the first three.
