I'm pretty sure that message ( "No LNB Voltage") generated in the IDU is independent of the receiver. If you converted the unit from DirecTV, it is possible that on of the small coax cables from the turret to the LNB arm got damaged, or was routed improperly and got pinched or damaged since then.

Although we have direct rather than dish I just went through a similar problem with my Winegard Traveler. I would get the no LNB Voltage error or it would just keep searching and searching. I spent over an hour on the phone with Winegard to no avail. After changing out each cable from the lnb to the base and running a cable from the base into the coach through a window I happened to notice condensation inside my lnb heads. I was able to find a used lnb locally and replaced it. Problem solved.

Spent some time on the phone with Dish Tech Support and the final answer was take it to Camping World. First call to Dish, I was given 3 phone numbers to call for on site service. First 2 numbers were to Dish Retailers, no service or support, third number refereed me to an 800 number which was Dish Support line!!!!!!!! Called Dish again and was told ANY Camping World should be able to help me out. :-( :-( :-(

No ladder on the coach yet but it's on the list of things to do, and no ladder available at the camp ground were staying at or I'd be on my roof. All is not lost, the nice folks at the camp ground allowed me to wash the 2550 miles of dirt we acquired on our trip from Arizona to Pennsylvania off the coach. :-) :-) :-)

Thinking I should maybe call Winegard and see what they have to say as soon as I have access to a ladder. Thanks for all the advice everyone.

Dennis,

Where are you now? PA? I'm west of Harrisburg going towards Lewistown and will help you with it, if you want.

Thanks Don, I'm in East Stroudsburg and the campground has cable so we're doing fine. Appreciate your most generous offer. :-) :-) :-).

No LNB voltage is a error that will display when the control board of the antenna receives no feed back of the LNB when the unit is powered on. The sheathed cables that exit the turret top and run down the feed arm are the likely culprit.

Do you know if you're using the non-SWM Trav'ler or the SWM Trav'ler?

The OP stated it was converted from DTV to Dish just prior to the failure... Another piece of circumstantial evidence pointing to the mini-coax from the turret to the LNB arm...

Regarding ladders... Sears sells a colleciton of telescoping ladders, So does Camping world,, You need one long enogh to go at least 3 feet ABOVE the roof when fully extended (mine won't but it's not the only ladder in/on the house) I really like them.

I DO NOT like ladders bolted to a wall (or to the back of the RV) I much prefer a free standing ladder. (Extension ladder) which is what my other one is, and it's long enough too.

The LIttle Giant looks good, but that's not what I have.

I have a little giant at home and it's great for doing things around the house and not bad for using around the motorhome but I wouldn't wanna carry it around with me. I'm thinking a collapsible is the way to go for the motorhome. No holes to make and therefore no water leaks.

I carry a Warner equivalent of the Little Genie because I once had one of those telescoping ones and it broke because it has issues if you put any sideways strain on it. Most of the time I can use the ladder in its stepladder mode but if I need a long ladder I have one.

Thanks for ALL the advice/clues. Got to my sister and brother in laws house yesterday in the rain but it's sunny and warm today so I borrowed a ladder and went on the roof of the Journey. Low and behold, one of the three mini-coax cables wasn't connected so after a trip down, up, and down the ladder, no more "No LNB Voltage" error and we're watching Dish once again. I feel like an idiot. Duh. Some times I have to do something a few times to get it done right. Smile:: Smile::Smile::Sheepish Grin. Was looking forward to meeting TV4myRV Don.

Glad you got it fixed, and very glad it was simple. You're still welcome to drop in here and spend a night. Just call...
