I am so unhappy with Verizon for this latest move to get more dollars. I have a smartphone with the 30 dollar unlimited data plan. I will just buy new phones at the best price I can find, and will probably just buy year old models to get them cheap. I will use FoxFi and similar apps so I may tether and not pay extra. My wife and I use about 6-700 minutes a month, and about 100 texts a month. This new plan won't benefit us at all.
We were out camping this weekend, I used FoxFi from my 3G smartphone to run my IPad, it worked great and we did what we normally do. I am planning on streaming Netflix when we get out to full-time next year. I hope Verizon doesn't figure out someway to thwart me.
