OTA in Naples, FL area

We are in Silver Lakes, moving to Naples Signature next week, and can't lock on to any local stations with the OTA antenna. Is local TV OTA that weak in this area?

Hi Dave,

I can't help in the OTA for your area. However congratulations on your new ride, sweet!

You can check TV Fool to see where the TV transmitting towers are in relation to your location, and it shows that you have several stations only 10-20 miles away due north. If you can't receive anything under these circumstances (especially in flat Florida) then you almost certainly have a problem with your antenna or equipment. Are you certain that the preamp button is turned on, cables are connected correctly, etc.?

My winegard will pull ota programming from your area and further east on Tamiami trail. You should be getting at least 6 channels in English

Point your antenna due north and you should receive 6 to 7 OTA stations.
