Pegasus satellite dish

Can anyone tell me what a Pegasus dish is? It looks just like a DirecTV/Dish dish. I picked up a used one; the price was right (free). It won't get a reading on my satellite meter on the DirecTV setting. It does get a strong reading on the meter further to the east, but my receiver won't display a reading or picture on the screen. My old DirecTV dish gets a strong reading and picture on the DirecTV setting.

Does the Pegasus have a different LNB for another system, like maybe Canadian? Or does it have a defective LNB?

Pegasus is a franchisee of Direct TV. Unless they also are a franchisee for some other company, the LNB should be the same.

Try substituting a known good LNB and see if it works then.

Thanks Clay. I tried it again and it works fine. I must have set it to the wrong elevation or azimuth the first time. Thanks again.
