I have a 32 inch Sony Plasma TV and 20 inch LCD TV in my Coach. When I store it this winter (next week) I was wondering how will the extreme cold affect them? I am talking -40 degrees in both Celsius and Fahrenheit without wind-chill of course. I was able to get indoor storage for my unit although not heated. Does anyone know if I should remove these two items or anything else that I should remove before storage?

LCD and Plasma screens do not like extreme cold temperatures.
The best thing to do is remove them and store them in a heated area.
My advice is to contact the manufacturer customer service and ask. Also check the specifications page in the owners manuals.

Plasma TV's are also not recommended for RV use. they do not like to be jostled around. They are also not recommended to high altitude use, above 6k feet. Plenty of research is on the web on the subject.

Thank you all for your time on this matter. I will take both TV's out of the coach before the extreme cold temp's arrive.

Do not store them flat! Keep them vertical. When I asked several customer service reps of 3 or 4 manufacturers about storing them flat, I was told by each that LCD and Plasma screens are not made to be in a flat position as the front surface will sag. Perhaps today though newer sets may tolerate the flat position. Always check with the manufacturer !!
