Pointing the Winegard Wingman Antenna

Now that All American Direct is out of business, I am planning on using my Winegard OTA antenna for local stations.

I like AntennaPoint.com - Antenna Locator for identifying where the transmission towers are located, but not having a signal strength meter, which way should the antenna be pointed?

Do I point the Wingman attachment towards the signal, or placed perpendicular to the signal direction?

Fred

Sorry, didn't drill down far enough on the above "Sticky".

Point the Wingman toward the signal. Therefore the Batwing is perpendicular towards the signal.

If you look at the Batwing with Wingman from above it forms the letter "T" with the wingman being the upright and the original antenna being the cross member

Well.. If you think of it as a "T". it is pointing,,, DOWN.

. \T/ Like the "V"
.. V in this ASCII drawing
