Portable Antenna Question

When we bought our current MH, we had the antenna from our old MH transferred to the new one. We re thinking about canceling the sat service for a couple of reasons.
We would like to know what others are using for a portable antenna and how do you like it.
Thanks.

I assume you are looking for a portable satellite antenna. We were concerned, at first, by the smaller 14" dish size, but found that it actually works better than the standard 18". We have been using it for almost two years now, without a problem.

Here is a link to PPL, they sell them: Portable Satellite TV - Winegard Carryout MP1 - PPL Motor Homes

TAILGATER!

The OP doesn't say Dish or Direct(?) so sorry - Tailgater is Dish only equipment...
BUT the VuQube Flex is basically the same portable for other service providers.
VuQube Products

One cable connection.
Auto aiming.
Included software for set-up.
HD capable.

DishNet has the pay-as-you-go for RV's, HD on standard plans and the very simple to use ViP-211k receiver. Add an external hard drive to make it a DVR. DTV-OTA channels are scanned and displayed on the receiver. LOVE IT!

I was using a simple crank-up for over a year, but since I like to park the RV near "evil SAT signal sucking" shade trees, I soon decided a portable SAT dish would greatly improve my TV experience.

Best luck

I have a Caryout and it works great. It has two cble output for 2 receivers, if needed. Or you can get a SWM multiswitch, and run 2 TVs on one cable. Once the sat is found, remove the power wire as it is not needed. You can find them online for under $700. The tripod stand is a good accessory..... keps the dish off the ground and moisture out. Can be safety cabled with a lock if dessired too. they come in either white or black domes. HD signal are not available on a dome antenna with DirecTv.
