Yikes! Skew doesn't change? No, as you move East or West the skew will change dramatically! Be sure to check your settings every time you move a few hundred miles or so.

How accurate are the skew settings on the antenna?
I have never changed mine since the tech set it initially and it looks like he has it set for about 134 degrees. For my zipcode it is supposed to be set at 135 degrees.
Thanks,
Ron

Don't worry about 1 or 2 degrees.

I see they finally got the info on their website about this portable antenna
Carryout® MP1 GM-MP1 Manual Portable Automatic Portable Satellite Dish - Winegard Carryout
Would anyone mind explaining how it will get both 110 and 119 satellites at the same time?
Thanks,
Ron

Good morning Ron,
The Carryout MP1 does receive both of those satellites, but not at the same time. The MP1 is a manual system and would have to be adjusted to change satellites unlike the Carryout GM-1518 which is automatic and will switch for you. To receive satellites at the same time you would need a Slimline type dish such as on the TRAV'LER SK-3005.

As Andy mentions, the Carryout will not receive both satellites at the same time but it will automatically move back and forth between the 2 satellites as you change channels. This works very well as long as you are using one receiver and it is NOT a DVR. If you want to watch/record a program on one satellite as well as watch/record a program on the other satellite you cannot do this as the antenna can only receive the signal from one at a time.
The MP1 is basically the same as any other manually pointed antenna (like your multi-head dish) except it will only point to one satellite so you would likely point it to 119 and watch whatever programming is available on that satellite. These antennas are very easy to point but they limit your programming choices.

Does this mean that if I am set up and receiving a signal from 119 I do not have to realign the antenna to recieve signal from 110? If I select a channel that needs the signal from 110, it will automatically start receiving the signal from satellite 110, or do I need to make changes at the pointing screen and select satellite 110?
I only need one receiver and do not have a DVR.
Thanks,
Ron

If you use the Carryout it is fully automatic. You just let the Carryout do all of the work and it will switch to which ever satellite is necessary to receive the channel you are requesting.
