Are you refering to this one?

Winegard GM-MP1 Carryout Manual Portable Satellite Antenna Camper Trailer RV

I don't have one, but was thinking of getting one but changed my mind. I'm glad I did because what I'm using now is quite a bit cheaper

Actually we need a little more information on what company you will be going with and what programs you plan to watch.

Ron

Looks like you are good too go.

My stand was the one that I bought at Camping World several years ago, I just changed the Direct TV dish to the Dish 500.

If you need any help in setting it up, there is plenty of information on this Forum.

Good luck and lets us know how it goes,

Ron

I'm sure you will, but be sure and do a dry run before you leave.

The Dish Network antennas aren't the easiest to set up, at least for me it wasn't

But I finally managed with lots of practice

Katoo, Hope the same thing that happened to me with dish network doesnt happen to you. I went with Dish in 97 and started going to FL in winter in 98. In spring of 07 I got a call from Dish saying I had been using my receivers illegally, had 3, and they shut off service to 2 of them. I was going to have to have separate receivers and 2 accounts to use them travelling. I had always called customer service to have my address changed and local channel added wherever I was. No amount of talk would change what they wanted me to do. I saw an add in Highways for a separate dish, and accessories from Direct tv and went with them. Have had no problems with them and have been happy with their service. I got calls from Dish for a long time asking me to come back and nobody I talked with could understand why I was treated that way. BTW if you read the Dish contract it states the receivers are not to be used outside your primary residence.

Jim,

I can't find this in my contract. I only have one receiver that was installed in my MH.

On my last local camping trip, 40 miles from my home residence, I could not get the proper signal so I had my wife call Dish to have them reset my system. I have to do this sometimes when I haven't used the MH for awhile, or for some other reasons. I have never been questioned as to where I'm located. I just tell them I haven't used the receiver for awhile and they reset my programing, no problem.

Ron

When we had Direct TV we had 3 receivers, two stayed at home and the third one stayed in the MH

We traveled all over and never had any problems.
