Hi all. We have a RV GPS App installed on our IPad. I recently heard that Rand McNally does not support this any longer. Please advise if you know anything about this. If true, what does this mean? No map updates or we can not use the product any longer? I think I paid about $100 for this couple of years back.

I have the IPad app, but don't use it much any more after I went ahead and bought the dedicated GPS unit. Many think the app is not supported anymore, and I tend to fall into that camp. Nevertheless, I did see a map update a year ago, and I seem to recall reading somewhere that for the app they only update the maps every year. Haven't seen anything this year.

This is to confirm that this is not supported any more. They gave my money back. Nice gesture by them.

I emailed tech support some months ago. They conformed that they no longer support the iPad RV GPS app. They stated you can continue to use but there will not be any further updates.

I suspect they figured out the same thing we did - Download the app for $99.00 or spend $300+ on their GPS. The app runs the same software with the added benefit of a much larger iPad screen, why would any iPad owner spend 3x for the same software on a smaller screen. Had to quit supporting the app to drive their GPS sales.

Going to miss the large iPad screen

Thanks. I will continue using my iPad. I also love the big screen.
Might show wrong info but will consult paper map also to make sure we are OK.
