Rand McNally is now shipping the RVND 7710 . I ordered mine through Camping World in September and per a phone call this morning, the order is shipping today or tomorrow.

It's hard to tell how good or bad they will work at this point in time as no one has one in use yet at least that's how I understand it.

I too ordered mine from Camping World near the end of September. There was a "special", $359, including life time updates (yes, on-line). I think the life time updates are otherwise advertised at $89.

Had Camping World in Bowling Green, Ky tell me this weekend that Rand McNally had pushed the date back till Nov. guess they were wrong again.

It was just released for by Rand McNally last Friday. I think Amazon has made a huge mistake in their pricing, but they will allow you to add it to your cart, and I assume then pay for it. I didn't go through all the steps because I had already pre-ordered from CW. It's a great deal even if it doesn't include the free lifetime map updates that those of us that pre-ordered from CW are getting.

i was looking at it and the magellan 9055 large screen..
are either one capable of using an external antennae?
i want to have the screen close enough to SEE...and having it some distance from me by hanging on the windshield is not going to work...much less be able to touch the screen to change map size etc...
but if i mount it on my dash panel next to my camera screen i could touch it

Got notice this morning that the one I ordered from them at FMCA - Madison has been shipped .. should have by end of week..

Just heard from Amazon that stock of the RVND 7710 will be received on October 27th and they will begin shipping then. At this point they have said nothing about the $292.49 price, so I'm assuming they are honoring it.
