I don't use one of those but I do use another method of extending my Wi-Fi range.. It appears to work well Google the following: Wi-Fi RV Boost
I have found the following:
Moving the antenna OUTSIDE the motor home..
Where I'm at right now with the Wi-Fi adapter inside the motor home I get the SSID for the park router but signal strength of ZERO.. Outside, it's 39% (2 digits is soild... so 39% is fantastic)
With the antenna directional "Adapter" on the antenna (Outside it's on the antenna so I don't know how much of that 39% is the booster) I have seen signals more than double in strength as I rotate the reflector.
HEIGHT: Getting it up over other RV's that may be between you and the router's antenna... GOOD IDEA.
I have two Wi-Fi adapters.. One is a small USB dongle (Trend-Net, 10 bucks at Micro Center) the other, which I'm using right now (Actually I'm using both of them, long story) is a Linksys WGA-54g.. The WGA (Wireless game adapter) Is NOT a usb device, it's a lan device so it feeds my Belkin Wi-Fi Router (which explains how I'm using both)

If you 'goggle' it, you don't come up with much.
Everything goggled goes back to the 'seller" on eBay, not the manufacturer.
No 'model #'s either...
I'm just sayin'...

Thanks guys, The Hawking 300 N worked good until I got Windows 7 and now it will not find the WIFI at campgrounds. I now have to program it with it hooked up the the wireless router. I am using it at the garage to boost my wireless signal and if we have a rver stay over they can have wireless.

I have been pleased with my Wilson 811210 amplifier Search results for: 'wilson 811210'. It amplifies any signal at all to 5 bars, and "no service" to 3 bars in many places. It has a passive(velcro attached) pickup, since our cell phone has no external antenna.

Thanks Ray, But I am looking for something to boost my WIFI at campgrounds. I find that we are parked most of the time to where we get a very poor signal. A lot of the time we have to get in the truck and move closer to the transmitter to get out laptop to work.

Tom,
This may what your looking for...
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BFMZR8/ref=oss_product
I bought this product for the same reason your looking for something.
Haven't had a chance to try it out as of yet because my notebook went south before I had a chance to try it.
It looks to be though exactly what I was looking for.

I apologize, I misunderstood. I use this: EUB-362 EXT - High-Power Long Range Wireless G USB Adapter with my laptop when on the road and wifi signal is weak or unusable. I sit the antenna in a window sill and it has been well worth the $59 it cost in 2006. You might consider making your own amplifier - like this: RV Road Trip Library - Do-It-Yourself Wi-Fi Signal Booster
