Has anyone seen or know of a small LCD Digital TV that operates on 12 volts?

My present rear TV is a 12 volt model and there is no nearby AC power.

12 VDC TVs are expensive. A less expensive option might be to use an inverter to change 12 volts DC to 120 volts AC. You will then have way more options available in terms of LCD TVs. Also make sure you buy a TV that is capable of receiving digital transmissions.

a 150 watt modefied signwave inverter should be enough for upto a 20 inch TV. They are as inexpensive as $10.00 at costco or around a $100 - 150 for a true sign wave converter, which is probably the way to go.

flytyer...if you try roadtrucker.com they may have LCD type tv's that run on 12 volt. They specialize in items that truckers need for 12 volt systems. The owners name is Frank and he is very helpful if you need to make a phone call. I bought our freezer/refrig from his outfit with excellent results. Good luck in your search.
