Since my Avalanche has navigation with rear camera, I have little problem hooking up however I'd like a camera mounted on the back of my hybrid.
I tried the VR3 but wireless reception is terrible.
I saw one at Sam's made by Peak (the anti-freeze company?) for around $100 however none of their locations carry it anymore. It also was wireless.

Any recommendations on other makes and models?

I finally found a color camera and color monitor. Both work on 12V and connect via RCA cables.

If that link doesn't work, let me know.

I couldn't get the link to work. I am interested in a simple camera system for my "new" F-350 van

Regardless what you get, consider the camera closely. I know not everyone drives at night, but if you do, be sure your camera has IR LEDS that will illuminate your tow. The one we had on a 05 Diesel Bounder worked great, but the Sony color camera furnished with the Allegro Bus could not see in the dark at all. I had to add a separate IR flood light so I could see the toad at night. I expected more of Tiffin in this instance, and was very disappointed.

I don't usually drive at night although I do like to leave before daybreak to avoid traffic congestions.

The camera I purchased does not have the IR leds but the company does have models with this feature.

I've only used my camera/monitor once since installing it but everything worked fine even heading out before the sun came up. I could see headlights from cars behind my hybrid and when daylight came and I got on the interstate I could see approaching cars getting ready to pass in the left lane without having to solely use my side mirrors.

It was good peace of mind.
