I currently have the winegard standard video control center with the push buttons for the 3 tv's. However, it is a pain in the butt, for example when you are outside watching tv on the satellite and then say you want to switch to cable, you have to go back inside the coach and push the button. Does anyone know of a remote controlled version of this switcher? Or perhaps a different mfg? Have Sat, air ant, dvd, cable. All are coax hookups, no HDMI unfortunately. I know the exercise never hurts but not so much in the winter and cozy in bed.....

There had been a better switch box...but I cannot remember now if it was electronic or not. I do remember it was pretty expensive though.
It really looks like the Audiophile Members are having a convention and forgot to tell us...I am sure someone will weigh in on what they did tomorrow.

MotoSAT used to make a remote video switch. It wasn't wireless, but you had a small (a couple of inches square) panel at each TV and you could push a button there and change the input selection at each TV. It was a good idea but it never caught on and was discontinued.

There are remote control video switches available, but be sure it has an RF remote rather than IR (infrared). IR requires line-of-sight to the switcher, while RF should work around corners and from outside.

My coach came with one as standard equipment, but I don't recall the brand name and the coach is 600 miles away right now. Try Googling 'remote control video switch' and you should find an assortment.

Tried the google and no luck, myriad of everything but what I want. When you get a chance I would appreciate if you could tell me the make and model of what you have. Thank you

It will be at least two months before I see our coach again (it is in the body shop after an accident).

What is it you are specifically looking for that makes it hard to find? I find all kinds of videos switches - HDMI, coax, component video, etc. The need for an RF remote makes it tougher, though.

There is an improper couple of letters at the end of your link. If you get rid of the "is" at the end after .htm, the link will work.

I fixed it for him, Bill. It take Moderator privileges to edit a post after it has been up for awhile.

I know! Isn't that stupid! I still have a post out there where I wanted to say that someone had spoofed being a member but now it says that someone spooked being a member and there's not a dang thing I can do about it.

We've had people come back even months later and decide to delete their post or substantially edit it for some reason. This screws up the whole thread for anyone else who reads it later. It's a shame we have been forced to limit edits, but as with so many things in life, the misguided actions of a few cause pain for the well-intended majority.

It's just strange that this is the only forum on the internet that has this kind of a restriction (an unnecessary restriction in my opinion). I am not of the school where it's OK to penalize all to prevent the stupidity of a few.

It's not the only one, Bill. I am personally acquainted with several others with the same restriction. Guess it depends on the clientele.
