I am considering changing out our Winegard Traveler with a RF Mogul Eagle Direct TV dish/system. I need to know owners experiences ...
- Are you happy with it?
- Have you had problems with it?
- Did you install yourself or have an experienced installer do it?

We have had the RF Mogul Eagle for Dish for two years now and it works great. Had it installed in Harrisburg, OR while having some other repairs/upgrades done. Great customer service, and it's updatable with a download to a flash drive. Very durable setup and fully automatic. We replaced a useless in motion dish with this one.

I've had one for over three years and was installed by one of their dealers. It was damaged during a high wind gust while in Arizona. The nylon type couplings which connect the lift motor to the dish arms broke. I believe they acted as a failsafe to prevent damage to the motor and gear assembly. A call to RF Mogul resulted in newer updated parts shipped, all for no charge. I handled the repair which required only a few bolts to be removed. It appears the unit is modular in construction and is easily separated for removal from the roof if necessary. I've had a couple of questions over the years which were always answered quickly whenever I needed assistance. I have Direct TV now but I think the unit could be converted to DISH with a few part changes and reprogramming.

Thank you .... I did decide to go ahead and purchase it and will have Cherokee Farms install it when it arrives down here in Alabama. Expensive, but hopefully will be a lot less of a "problem" than the Traveler has been these past years. It can't get much worse, anyway! Thanks for the responses. Lynn
