Which WiFi Ranger is the best choice? Which antenna also? We have a Mountain Aire that has a raised rail roof. Is this a problem for reception or back to which antenna is best. We have no ladder to attach to on the back. We are in the works to have solar installed and I am just going to have them install a WiFi Ranger and also a cell booster at the same time and they can run all of the wires/cables. I am thinking one of the weboost units also for cell boosting.

Which model did you get? SkyPro or EliteAC?
Also, you guys are way ahead of me, trying to follow and understand, but I thought the WiFi Ranger was essentially an antenna / receiver used to pick up the campground wifi and boost the signal to your "connected" devices...such as cell phone, computer, roku stick, or anything that connects to an internet signal via ethernet connection or wifi connection.

The WiFiRanger does receive and amplify campground wifi signals and rebroadcasts them inside your RV to all your wifi-enabled devices.
To clarify one of your statements, however, it doesn't have any impact on cellular signals unless you have the SkyPro with the LTE option. Of course, you could switch your cell phone to "WiFi On" in which case it would receive the amplified wifi signal along with all your other devices.

I believe the 8800 has the ability to stay plugged in 24/7. The older 7730L will overheat its battery if it is charged continuously.

I have a similar set-up but only have the netgear Cellular modem (with external MIMO antenna) which is plugged in to the Core via ethernet cable along with the Skypro (without LTE) mounted on the roof. I find that the broadcast coverage for the router function of the WiFi Ranger is also significantly enhanced by using the SkyPro even when connected to the cellular network and not using local WiFi.
My antenna will support 2 devices so at some point I will likely add a second Cellular device (possibly 8800) and add Verizon to my current AT&T unlimited plan.........I'm hoping these can co-exist without conflict???

There's no reason why you can't have cellular devices from different companies running at the same time. For nearly a year we had both Verizon and AT&T devices, sometimes with hotspots from both carriers operating at the same time.

You can tether one of the two cellular devices to the Ranger. The other one would have to connect via wifi.

Yes, where we live there is zero cell signal, so our cell phones work like all the other devices that connect to a wifi signal and access the internet. We've grown accustom to WiFi calling as the norm.

The WiFiRanger GoAC and Core both have a single USB port.

So, if you have a single USB port you can tether a single device. The other device can connect via wifi. It seems pretty clear to me; am I missing something?

If the Netgear modem is connected to the Core via ethernet and the MiFi is tethered via usb then neither would be using WiFi to connect....was my question
