RV Antenna
I own a '15 Bounder. Really like it but am disappointed with the reception from the roof mounted antenna. It is the odd shaped diamond antenna with a booster. Turn in on inside and it has four blue LEDS to show signal strength.
I was wondering if I put another amplifier in line it would help, or make it worse.
I'd like to see what some more experienced RVer's think, or have done.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

OTA (Over the Air) television signals are mostly line of site and their signal strength is also based on how close to the various television towers you are.
If you are basing your poor reception quality on the fact that you are way out in the country and nowhere near a major metropolitan area, it may not be an issue with your antennae.
Have you done television scans in a campground and compared the signal strength and number of channels against others in the same park? Are you aiming your antennae in the same direction?

Doubling up in amplification won't work if there's no signal. 2 X 0 = 0. Also trying to amplify a bad signal just means more bad. You could try a larger antenna or a better amplifier, but you still might be chasing a poor signal. Digital TV either is there, or it's not, as many home TV users have found out.

I have the same antenna that you have. It is much less sensitive than the antenna on my previous 06 Newmar. Using the new one in the same campgrounds and sometimes the same site as my older rig, I do not receive stations that I've always received in the past. I had the "wingman" on my old antenna when programming went digital and it worked great.
New antenna, not so much. There is no amount of tuning or tweaking that gives me the same range as the old one. Maybe the height difference is a factor. Not sure but it's not as sensitive.

I appreciate all the responses, althought it wasn't what I wanted to hear. Kindof figured that might be he case though. I do use my phone to search for the closest stations, and a compass to determine direction. I primarily use my hotspot to access my roku channels, but when reception is ify, just out of luck I guess. Always have blueray. Thanks again for your time guys.

I do not care for that antenna. The best antenna or RV use (If your standard is how far away) is the Wingard Sensar IV with the Sensar Pro internal module (wall plate) The Sensar Pro beats the LED;s off the Sure Lock device, and the antenna has more forward Gain (Sees farther)
That said.. Depending on where you are parked it may or may not make an improvement.
